Some Thoughts on Revelation 15:1-4

angel-with-trumpet.jpgAnd I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

As I meditated upon this passage of scripture this morning, I started thinking particularly about them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name.

Those who are about to execute God’s righteous wrath are the angels. Those who witness this judgment upon the beast and those who follow him are faithful Christians, or them that had gotten the victory over the beast (Rev. 15:2). Singing of God’s Blessings on the Family

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

Following is the Scottish metrical version (the arrangement for singing) of Psalm 128:

1 Bless’d is each one that fears the Lord,

And walketh in his ways;

2 For of thy labour thou shalt eat,

And happy be always.

3 Thy wife shall as a fruitful vine

By thy house’ sides be found:

Thy children like to olive-plants about thy table round.

4 Behold, the man that fears the Lord, thus blessed shall he be.

5 The Lord shall out of Sion give His blessing unto thee:

Thou shalt Jerus’lem’s good behold whilst thou on earth dost dwell.

6 Thou shalt thy children’s children see, and peace on Israel.

Rebecca (Cadet), who is much better at remembering ages and dates than I am, informs me that she is most likely 13 in this picture.

Thirteen again. The kitty, Dusty, thinks he is a miniature creature, and submits to kitties much smaller than himself. In Rebecca’s arms, however, he is safe and content. See the kitty smile?

Twelve and ten. The sweeties, Cadet and Lyd.

Lydia (Biddo), eleven.

Lydia, ten. 😀

I thank the Lord for each and every one of the children whom the Lord has placed in our family. This little post is especially about Rebecca and Lydia, though, so I’m taking this moment to specially thank the Lord for them.

My son [or daughter – my insertion], if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.– Proverbs 23:15,16

The father [and the mother – my insertion] of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.– Proverbs 23:24,25
