I love the book of James. It answers, with so many practical examples, the question, “What does the Christian life look like?”. One evidence of a heart that truly loves God is that that heart loves his or her neighbors as well, even the ones who are truly needy. Those neighbors might need food and clothing, time, a listening ear, or prayer.
Faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. – James 2:17,18 (emphasis added)
