Five Recent Movies We’ve Rented – Give Me 5 Monday

October 27th, 2008 . by Joyce

The ‘Give Me Five’ Monday meme is designed to share fun information with each other in a simple short list! Here’s how it works. Each week, I will put out a random topic from my list of topics and you share 5 answers of your choice on the given topic and link back here! You can add photos, links or stories or just a simple list of your own of 5 things that relate to the topic as it pertains to you and your life experiences. It doesn’t have to be in any order of importance unless otherwise specified.

This is the information provided by Becca of BeccA’s Buzz, the hostess of the Give Me Five Monday meme. Please play along with us! Here is my post for this week:

Give Me Five Recent Movies You’ve Rented:

  • Amazing Grace – the movie about William Wilberforce attempting to end British slave trade in the 1800s
  • Speed Racer
  • Charlie Bartlett – Our children are great fans of Robert Downey, Jr.
  • Iron Man – another Robert Downey, Jr. movie
  • To Kill a Mockingbird – the 1962 film based on the novel by Harper Lee, starring Gregory Peck. This isn’t a recent movie, but it is one we’ve recently rented that we like to watch every so often.

(All of the movie pictures are copied from the Internet Movie Database site, IMDb.)

I haven’t seen Speed Racer yet, but it looked interesting. My son can’t wait to see Ironman. I haven’t seen To Kill A Mockingbird in forever, great list!

We also watched Amazing Grace. My son wants to watch Speed Racer. I guess that will have to be our next movie.

I can’t remember the last time I rented a video … and of the 5 films you mention, the only one I’ve seen is To Kill a Mockingbird. I’m clearly ‘out of touch’ …
    Hugs and blessings,

Ooo, Amazing Grace was a very good movie, indeed. I also enjoy period pieces like that too. They are worth watching just to get a taste of the culture and clothing and such. I’ve never seen To Kill a Mockingbird, but I’d really like to. Nice list!!!
