Hooked on Haiku

Haiku Friday

Friday – Haiku day

Funny how much I love it;

5 – 7 – 5 rules!

If Haiku is cool,

What about other rhythms?

How about some rhymes?

Want to try sonnets?

Three stanzas of four lines each;

2 – line couplet end

Ten-syllable lines,

Just rhyme within each stanza

Every other line.

Sonnets are for love . . .

Valentine’s Day is coming:

I think I’ll try it!

For more Haiku, visit Jennifer over at Playgroups are No Place for Children and Christina at A Mommy Story.

    How cool is it to write a Haiku about Ku-ing and Sonnets especially as February rolls around! Kudos to YOU!!! Looks like it’s an idea that could catch on.
