Rick purchased a new camera to take along on business trips. The main requirements for this camera were that it had to fit in his pocket, and be equipped with an optical image stabilizer. The little Canon Power Shot SD870 IS fits the bill. I promise, I will learn to use this camera, so that I will not be so dependent on the rest of the family for photos! Here are some photos of our kitties:
This is our kitty, Bonnie Boy. He once upon a time lived a few houses away, but decided to adopt us. He especially adores Rick.
You’ve met Percy cat before. Here he is, indulging his curiosity, following Rick around as he experimented with his new camera outside this evening. Hmmm . . . Percy really likes Rick, too.
This is Lucy cat. Now, this kitty likes me. She sleeps by my feet, but then during the night sneaks up near my face and starts purring loudly to let me know she needs a midnight snack. If I don’t oblige, she steps back and forth across my face, which is scary, since she weighs over 20 pounds and has sharp claws.
This is our kitty Gigi with Lydia, Seth and Rebecca. Poor Rebecca isn’t feeling very well. Forgive me for posting this photo, Dearie, but I needed to include all the cats in the post (for some odd reason). 🙂
Ah yes, the kitties! A big part of the Taron family culture 🙂 thanks for the pics, lots of good memories…I’m glad Pops likes the new camera.
I grew up with cats, but, alas, my husband is very allergic to them. Our doggie has hair, too, not fur, so, supposedly, hypo-allergenic. We have issues with critters, unfortunately. Who thought of the name Percy? Just curious.
Hehe-We had our current camera for a couple years before I finally learned how to use it. Good thing my kids are always ready to take more than enough pictures! I still need coaching from time to time, and now there’s talk of replacing it. Just when I start to get caught up..
Thank you, ladies, for your comments. 🙂
Laura, did you notice that this is the smallest number of kitties we’ve had in a long time? No kittens!
Hi, Marmee: Next time before you all come to visit I’ll make sure we do a thorough vacuuming and dusting and try to keep all the cats upstairs or outside; I didn’t realize about the allergies!
Hi, Kerri: I don’t get along all that well with mechanical things, but a person can do such nice things with a camera. I’m going to give it an honest try! 😛
Unfortunately Kev is allergic to kitties. And Kim is allergic to cigarette smoke. And Corinne is allergic to dust mites. I’m allergic to grass and tree pollen. Dust mites are by far the hardest culprit to keep away from us…..they’re everywhere.
I think we have similar allergies over here, with the exception of kitties – THANKFULLY! We do enjoy those rascals.
Thanks for warning us about the cigarette smoking; we’ll be careful (tee hee – hope you know I’m joking 😛 )
I love the picture of Lucy Cat. She is so special and awesome! I am glad that she likes you so much MamaMa. 🙂
