One Single Impression – Golden
October 19th, 2008 . by JoyceThanks to Gemma Wiseman of Gemma’s Greyscale Territory – Poetic Songlines for the One Single Impression prompt of GOLD.
Love your enemies;
Show kindness where none’s been done.
“Do unto others
As you’d have it done to you.”
The Golden Rule’s not easy.
Love your family,
Laying aside selfishness.
Do what’s truly good
To those you hold near and dear.
Golden Rule: yes. Easy: no.

Amazing that this is so hard to learn and remember. It’s a vow to keep each day. I like the way you arranged this in tanka form. Thank you.
Quietpathss last blog post..Never ending (OSI)
Thank you Joyce for this nice poem. I am sorry it took me so long to return to yours. I am so far behind that I may never catch up with my blog reading and commenting.
..
BTW, I plan to post my OSI for next week from long distance. I should be in Huehuetenango, Guatemala on a mission journey with the Buckner Foundation and some folks from our church.
They are supposed to have wireless in our hotel, I sure hope so.
