Rainy Days Haikus

haiku-friday.jpg

Spring break is coming.

The children wanted picnics,

Maybe a camp out.

As is typical,

Weatherman predicts showers

While they’re off from school.

The Evergreen State:

Yes, we have beauty year ’round,

Also lots of rain.

To stay green, need rain.

Kids are getting tired of it,

Say they plan to move!

Beauty can’t compete

With daily warmth and sunshine,

Clear blue overhead.

When they’re grown and gone,

Dad and mom will start trav’ling

To those sunny clim’es.

No more Seasonal

Affective Disorder times,

Sun-loving kids say.

Oh, the rain. Northern Idaho, here and we’re having more snow today. Argggh.

Thank you so much, friends, for your well-wishes. Rick decided he will head to Eastern WA for the camp out, so today I purchased 2 tents, a camp stove, propane canisters, inflatable under sleeping bag mats, and some food supplies, so they should be good-to-go on Thursday!
