Simply Kind Tuesdays – Veterans Day

I’ve spent a busy day at home, doing paperwork, cooking for the family, doing laundry, and helping to watch the grandbabies. I enjoy this quiet, homey work. It often provides me with the thoughts that I share on my blog.
Today I’m participating for the first time in Simply Kind Tuesdays, a meme hosted by Claudia of On a Limb With Claudia.
I found out about this meme from my friend Storyteller at Small Reflections and Sacred Ruminations. Thank you, Storyteller!
It is more decency than kindness to express thankfulness, but that is what I am doing today.
I am thankful to the veterans who are being honored today on Veterans’ Day. These men and women chose to set aside personal comfort and safety, and in many cases put themselves in danger’s way to preserve the freedoms of people such as me, a mother and grandmother caring for her family at home.
