Some things I love about Autumn

freefotoautumn.jpg

The nippiness in the air. It’s not really chilly yet, but cool enough to be invigorating.

The smell of smoke from the wood stoves which are being lit once again.

The fragrance of over-ripe blackberries, leaf mold and ripe apples.

The coziness of shorter, cooler days, inviting one to cozy up with a good book in the evening.

The tradition we have of baking fall goodies, such as cinnamon rolls, apple dumplings and Pumpkin Yum.

The harvest moon, especially when it’s SO orange. (What causes that? I never have found out.)

The morning and evening fog, so mysterious, and yet part of the general autumn coziness.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. – Genesis 8:22

Thanks for sharing that link, Jody! Now I know why the moon sometimes looks orange and large. 🙂
