Some things I love about Autumn

The nippiness in the air. It’s not really chilly yet, but cool enough to be invigorating.

The smell of smoke from the wood stoves which are being lit once again.

The fragrance of over-ripe blackberries, leaf mold and ripe apples.

The coziness of shorter, cooler days, inviting one to cozy up with a good book in the evening.

The tradition we have of baking fall goodies, such as cinnamon rolls, apple dumplings and Pumpkin Yum.

The harvest moon, especially when it’s SO orange. (What causes that? I never have found out.)

The morning and evening fog, so mysterious, and yet part of the general autumn coziness.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. - Genesis 8:22

Hi Mom–did you notice that your words from this post and maps.among.us are overlapping each other?

And did you know that if you put and around an image it’ll be centered? :P OK,sorry I know this is a deletable comment! Just an an addicted blog user to another!

After reading your post I had to look up the cause of the orange moon. I’ve always wondered about it, but never remembered to look. Here’s a link on it, http://home.hiwaay.net/~krcool/Astro/moon/moonorange/
which gives a fairly simple answer that doesn’t lose you in the science. Pretty interesting. :)

Thanks for sharing that link, Jody! Now I know why the moon sometimes looks orange and large. :)
