Three Word Wednesday first-timer
July 2nd, 2008 . by JoyceToday I’m participating in a writing prompt which is new to me (though it’s been around for some time) called 3WW, or Three Word Wednesday. The three words to be used today are:
- Indifferent
- Pour
- Reason
To use these words, I employ a Tanka poetry form, and find inspiration in the parable told by Christ in Matthew 25:31-46:
A heart that loves God
Pours out love to man also;
Not indifferent
To suffering; the reason
Is God’s love flowing through him.

Hi and welcome to 3WW. How true it is what you have written. Thanks too for reading my post and for your comment. Indeed for several months now, I have had been using my 3WW posts to tell and ongoing story. I really like the sentiment behind this, but lately I’ve been finding that people who claim this don’t often act in that way. :-/ Not all, but some.
there is a reason to have God in your life - one of them, to keep indifference at bay….

So, I admit I’m not much of a “God” type, but this poem is Truth. I recently had the good fortune of seeing Archbishop Desmond Tutu speak (well, I heard him speak and saw him on stage), and I think he would like this poem.
