Great TT!! I really miss the county fairs of my childhood–I used to work in our schools Gumbo Stand. (I grew up in coastal Mississippi). Sounds like you had a great time!

Thanks for your comments! The Fair was fun, and working in a concession stand a new experience. I’m game to do it again next year.

I must correct myself: It was a caramel apple, not a candy apple. Oops! I don’t recall if I’ve EVER had a candy apple.

Cute post. I esp. like #11 and #12. We passed on the rides as well. I haven't had a candied apple in decades. Was it as good as it was when you last had one? Where were Timebenders and when did they play? Kayla's painting is just fab-u-lous!! So much to do and so little energy to do it all in. We are tired from our 3 days at the fair and we didn't even stay all day for any one of them. And we looked for you but didn't find you. I haven’t been to a fair like this in a long time but you’ve reminded me of what I’ve been missing!! I love cotton candy and would love to know how to make it…although I hate the stickiness if it gets on my clothes! I must look out for a NY State Fair…everyone needs to feel young again sometimes!

Great list - LOL at the cotton candy. Congratulations to your daughter. We love fairs. We used to live in southern Cal and participate in the LA County Fair (larger than most state fairs) so we get a real kick out of the county fairs here in the U.P. now. We did Iron County yesterday and are going to do the Upper Peninsula State today. It's the only state I know of that has 2 state fairs in 2 different locations.
