Quite nice for first try!
Haiku-loving friends,
I wrote something else; you like?
For more Haiku, visit Jennifer over at Playgroups are No Place for Children and Christina at A Mommy Story.
pretty flowers!!! lovely ku! the perfect combination…
i feel like i failed you on the sonnet. did the song count? 😉
Janet, you most certainly DID NOT fail. I loved your song. HOWEVER . . . Will you try writing a sonnet sometime? For me the trick was:
1. Write the 14 stanzas without worrying about rhyming, but with the proper number of syllables
2. Make every other line rhyme, except the last 2, which rhyme with one another
It didn’t yield professional results, but it was OK. Not as much fun as Haiku, but OK.
I think that’s a great first try! Way to work the holiday!
Cute! Tell Dubie that I think she did a very nice job 🙂
I told her, Sweetie. Dube says, “Thanks, Laura!” 🙂
