We have a new driver

Today was a memorable day.

Dear Rebecca took and passed her driving test. She is now a licensed driver in the State of Washington!

To CELEBRATE, we went to the Starbucks at Barnes and Noble to have lunch. First we ordered a couple of special coffees, mine a hot Caramel Macchiato and Reb’s a frozen concoction which contained chocolate (of course). Next on the menu were a couple of special pretzels. Mine was filled with spinach and feta cheese, and Reb’s was flavored with garlic and cheddar. Very nummy, and appropriately celebratory.

Since I had a discount coupon for 15% off a purchase, I bought her a book also: The Dashwood Sisters’ Secrets of Love by Rosie Rushton, a modern take-off on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. I’ll soon hear if it’s good or not.

Reb also needed some under armor-type clothing for track, so we picked that up on clearance at Big 5. After doing a smallish Costco shopping as well, we realized that we needed to head to Rebecca’s babysitting job, which we did and arrived just in the nick of time.

Reb just arrived home, so I can go to bed now, but just wanted to let you all know the good news. (Sweetie, if you read this, I didn’t spend too much money.)

Teesie has not only been too busy at school, she is working, busy with friends, makes time for family and church, etc. Yep. Too busy.

If you ever make it up to NW Washington, we will take you out for those treats, Storyteller. 🙂
